Voila Studioz is a creative wedding photography and cinematography based firm in Mumbai, India.

As the name says about itself!

Voila Studios wanted to represent themselves as a photography firm working in weddings and corporate sectors. So, the generic look of the photography work was supposed to be highlighted by visual identity and by the logo to be designed.

That’s when the team felt that a glimpse of photography may be a camera or a photograph has to be part of the visual identity or logo to give an intuitive feel to the audience what ‘Voila’ is all about!

Camera + Voila

Different visual ideations of logo were created focusing on camera features like lens and flash. The sensitive aspect of the expression of the word ‘Voila’ was developed by a calligraphy font.

Visiting Card as a Snapshot!

Visiting card was designed as a snap so that when the client exchanges card with someone then the uniqueness of the photo creates a subconscious effect on the other person ! This helps the person to recall more easily and instantly.

Atharva Energy Solutions

Atharva Energy Solutions deal in installation of centralized Air Conditioning Systems in hospitals and big malls in different cities of India. Keon Designs took part in developing the Brand Strategy for company’s future expansion from design perspective. Keon Designs was also involved to develop the total brand design or Logo and other collateral designs of Atharva Energy Solutions.

Design Intend

The need was to create a visual identity of the company. Since, the company deal in air conditioning so the attributes like warm and cool were considered and different visuals for logo were created.

Two colors like Blue and Orange highlighting cool and warm effect of the air conditioning were preferred in visual language of the company.

What happens when company goes global?

After first phase of Ideations, a discussion was held with client regarding the future targets and goals of the company.

Client said “We are looking for international clients in Dubai and other countries”

Our team designer asked “If that is the future prospect, then why we are using Atharva Energy Solutions which is difficult for a foreign consumer to pronounce as the whole name?

Why not AES!! That’s it! Easy to use and pronounce for consumer !”

The whole brand statergy changed considering the future goals of the company and now AES came into existence.

MGS is an authorized distributors of welding, cutting and safety products ,based in Pune, India. They wanted to make a logo representing what they do and connect with all retail store companies dealing in welding, cutting and safety products across nation. Keon Designs approach to create the Logo for them was to develop it for easy remembering.

Considering the strong, mechanical and sturdy product range of the company ,we focussed on making MGS logo as a bold and intense type. Various ideations were created and proposed to client.

Client said “ These logos are more visual. We want strong typeface to attract the customer. ”

Designer said “ Visuals helps to connect with client and create the strong first impression in mind ”

Client said “ Right! But MGS should appear strong and focus on three major domains of welding, cutting and safety products so that any one who reads this comes to us directly”

Designer said “Done! let’s do it! ”

The Final Logo

Designer said, “ lets create the Typography of Logo as Strong, Sturdy and like stencil type. The alphabets with gaps in between will give stencil look. The design language should be kept bold to emphasis on product based company ”

Colours considered were green and black because MGS being an authorised distributor sells the product range to retailers in the same colour palette. So, in order to create harmony and consistency in brand language, the green and black colours were considered to develop the logo.

KAT (Krushivardhan AgroTech)

KAT organisation was formed for the development and welfare of Indian farmers. They wanted to connect Indian farmers with the urban people via there food products selling on online stores like Snapdeal. The future goals does not restrict to only food products rather they are planning to make farmer insurance policies and farmer education systems as their main priority. Keon Design’s role was to develop the Brand image of KAT in such a way that if makes Farmers feel Trustworthy and welcoming.

KAT wanted to visually represent themselves as a loyal brand for Indian farmers and create a humble and welcoming first impression for the Indian audience.

The attributes like enlightenment for farmers, humble gesture of namaste and wheat (anaaj), the main crop of Indian public were considered to connect with masses. Also the helpful nature, joy and energy were considered to create a visual brand identity which could connect Indian farmers and local bodies to trust the initiative of Krushivardhan Agrotech.

Various ideations were done to create the brand visual considering all the attributes.

Finally the Right one !

The overall logo shows the namaste gesture symbolising humbleness and welcoming nature of Indian farmers.The upper part shows the crop in the hands of the farmer symbolising that expansion and growth of Indian crops. The bottom part of logo shows the enlightenment which the organisation offers for farmers to grow and expand.

The green colour shows growth, prosperity and expansion for Indian farmers and orange/saffron colour shows warmth and energy .The colours of Indian Tricolour flag were considered to create the Indian feel.

Genie Chef

Genie Chef is a mobile food outlet service in Pune, India. Genie Chef started with a mobile food outlet in the form of a mini bus standing at the high crowd zone of the city and wish to expand as a personalised chef based business for a house party which a user can book through an app. The business idea was to prompt a personalised chef like a Genie would make favourite dishes of one’s choice at desired place or home.

Initial Idea Generation

The initial ideas were thought considering Indian market. The Maharajah Chef as we see in traditional Indian Hotels were thought as the mascot or main element of logo. This thought was based on the client meeting where keywords like Indian, Spicy, Maharajah, Chef, Digital, Specialized, Homely were deduced. Various hand sketches were drawn and were refined, yet we thought that a link is missing…

Is it going to be just in India?

In the discussion meeting at this phase Keon Designs had a very crucial question for client. What is the future that the company see in next 30 years? Is the company looking to expand its horizons outside India? What type of cuisine will be provided, will they be only Indian?

Client: “No the company want to expand itself, and see to make it global in next 10 years.”

Keon Designs: “Then why are we keeping the logo very Indian?”

Friendliness and happy form was given to the brand identity so that it highlights the work culture of Genie Chef that is ‘’hukum mere aaka’’- asking for user for their desires and wishes.

The logo consists of a Genie Lamp in shadow, gives a second layer to the Waaaaoooo factor of it.
